Speakeasy Workshop at Salón Marie Brizard
Speak easy, boy, speak easy
‘Speak easy, boy, speak easy’, says the barman during the prohibition era to its customers. The concept of mixing drinks, and drink for enjoyment emerged from United States. During Prohibition, those bars where the people could drink clandestinely were called ‘Speakeasy’.
It was one of the most creative periods with alcohols of low quality, where was necessary to mix ingredients to enjoy them. A creative era, with great cocktails and exciting stories to tell. A time when the picaresque, lawlessness and social gatherings were clandestine trend.
Recalling that time, the 8th of June at Dry Martini The Academy is taught the workshop: ‘Speakeasy Prohibition cocktails’ at a special price, only for Club members. A participatory workshop where our bartenders explain the history surrounding the Prohibition Era, the most popular cocktails of the time, utensils and basic ingredients.
All participants will be given a certificate signed by Javier De Las Muelas.
